This is a Full Time, Exempt position and reports to the COO/GM of Webscale.

Your mission

Webscale is a leading managed services platform. Its fully optimized, highly secure and reliable automation platform streamlines the migration and management of ecommerce storefronts in any public cloud, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure.

As we extend our business, we are looking for an Account Executive who enjoys hunting new logos and setting records. You must have a track record of success generating sales through personal contact, prospecting, business case justification, demonstrations, phone calls, reference selling and written proposals. You will be responsible for managing the complete sales cycle from lead identification through contract negotiation, signing and transition to customer success.

What we’re looking for

As part of the Webscale leadership team, the VP of Sales and Account Management will play a crucial role in managing and growing our customer base. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for ecommerce, a solid sales record and an existing network of development partners. A deep understanding of Magento, WooCommerce, and Shopware platforms is required and an existing knowledge of Webscale products would be preferred. 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader that can both grow the company via a third party distribution channel as an individual contributor and simultaneously run our Account management group driving customer satisfaction with the various webscale teams and ensuring retention and growth in our customer base.

Standard Qualifications and Experience 

  • Strong consultative sales approach ensuring we are listening to and meeting our channel partners and customer needs
  • Demonstrate track record of success selling technological solution via third party developer channels as well as driving existing customer satisfaction, retention and growth
  • 5+ years as a team leader with a demonstrated ability to manage channel partners and drive net new sales 
  • 10+ years of account management experience including interfacing with the C suites at the client and channel partner levels
  • 10+ years experienced delivering excellent service and pre-technological support with a thoughtful, strategic, and consistent approach

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Define and drive the sales and retention process for Webscale ecommerce including funnel reporting 
    • Maintain one source of truth for all activities and a real time feedback track for customers and developers 
    • Be the voice of the market bringing needs and challenges to the team
    • Set clear performance goals and key performance indicators (KPI’s) for the account management team.
  2. Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a global team of account professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
    • Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.
    • Develop succession plans and talent development initiatives to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
  3. Customer and Channel Partners:
    • Champion the voice of the customer within the organization, providing insights and feedback to drive product and service improvements
    • Work in a consultative selling fashion to uncover needs and opportunities with channel partners and customers
    • Build relationships of trust with third party developers and work with our internal resources to always deliver on our promises and drive new business opportunities
    • Manage the AM team to develop and track customer satisfaction and manage the renewal process 
  4. Technical Expertise:
    • Stay current with the latest trends and developments in ecommerce platforms, hosting technologies, and support best practices.
    • Working with Engineering and support ensure that the team is provided technical guidance and support, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to assist customers effectively.
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to address technical challenges and enhance product offerings

Salary Range & Benefits

The Salary Range for this position is $140,000 to $220,000 and includes commissions and performance-based bonuses. The range for the posting reflects the minimum and maximum range of salaries for the position offered across all US locations. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, competencies, relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for equity.
